There are many possible symptoms of stress; different people experience certain symptoms more strongly than others. All symptoms are caused by increased activity of the Sympathetic nervous system.
Physical symptoms can include:
- Back pain
- Muscle tension
- High blood pressure
- Weakened immune system
- Sweating
- Heartburn
- Diarrhea
- Headaches
- Nausea
Psychological symptoms can include:
- Moodiness
- Trouble sleeping
- Irritability
- Nervousness
- Depression
- Trouble concentrating
- Anger
- Feeling overwhelmed
